Educating Rural Communities

Years of conflict in Somalia have deprived an entire generation of children of formal education and the security of a stable childhood. Today, Somalia has one of the world’s lowest school enrollment rates—only 30% of primary-age children attend school, and just 18% of children in rural households are enrolled.

To address this urgent need, HelpLife Foundation supports schools in remote areas of the Sanaag region by providing financial assistance. Our contributions ensure teachers receive salaries and students can continue their education. This support is a crucial step toward breaking the cycle of poverty through learning.

Description

Somalia’s rural communities remain significantly underserved in education. With limited infrastructure and few financial resources, rural schools struggle to function. HelpLife Foundation steps in by directly funding these schools, allowing them to operate and serve local children. Without our support, many students would have no access to education, and teachers would go unpaid.
